Book Review- The Vampyre

The Vampyre; A Tale by John William Polidori

I enjoyed this story immensely. It was fast-paced, engaging and had an ominous gloom about it, which captivated me from the start. I read the entire story in just one sitting with the sound of rain gently pelting against my window and the dark shadowy pall which hovered overhead in the bleak hours of the morning. As a lover of Gothic literature, The Vampyre has immediately become one of my favourites. I look forward to reading it again in the near future.
